Accessibility
The Tourist Board of Seville, Consorcio de Turismo de Sevilla, has made a major effort to make the entire content of its web portal accessible to any visual or non-visual navigator.
Although the portal looks the same, the code generating the pages has been totally redesigned, using Web standards.
Our commitment to the city is to create web sites which are accessible to everyone, without exception, just as it is trying to remove architectural barriers to access to buildings.
To make an accessible web, the guidelines followed are Web Content accessibility Guidelines 1.0 , defined by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) working group of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C ). The objective of these guidelines is to make web-based information available to everyone.
The following are included among the principal measures adopted:

Images
Text alternatives have been included for relevant graphical content. -
Animations
It is possible to stop the animation. An alternative code with accessible information is included. -
Size of text
The fonts used on the web site are defined in relative units, enabling the user to control these with the browser. - Design, navigation and interactivity. We have tried to achieve coherent navigation throughout the portal, using the same structural designs on all the pages. In addition, direct links are included for access to page content and alternative codes enabled for navigators without javascript. Furthermore, text is separated from graphics, so that users who so wish may browse through the contents more quickly by disabling the download of style sheets on their navigator.
- Level of accessibility. The portal has been validated using the HERA tool from the SIDAR FOUNDATION and checked with different devices; the overall level of accessibility obtained is double A (AA) with triple-A (AAA) compliance to the majority of standards.
